In preparation for the upcoming Eid Al Fitr celebrations, the Inspection Directorate at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has intensified its monitoring campaigns to ensure compliance with regulations across markets and commercial outlets. This effort aims to strengthen consumer confidence and maintain market stability during the festive season.

The Directorate has rolled out a comprehensive inspection plan that spans the period before, during, and after the holy month of Ramadan. This initiative aligns with the Ministry's responsibility to oversee market activities and protect the interests of both consumers and traders.

Field inspections ahead of the holiday have focused on high-traffic outlets, including fruit and vegetable shops, beauty centres, salons, tailoring shops, sweet shops, bakeries, restaurants, catering kitchens, shopping malls, and commercial markets across Bahrain.

The primary objective of these campaigns is to ensure the availability of essential goods to meet the needs of citizens and residents. Inspectors have been monitoring any potential disruptions in product flow and taking necessary measures to maintain market stability.

In addition to product availability, the Ministry has placed a strong emphasis on verifying sales practices, discounts, and promotions. Inspections are focused on ensuring price transparency and preventing misleading offers or any attempts to exploit increased consumer demand. Any violations detected will result in legal action.

The Ministry emphasized that the heightened seasonal monitoring aims to protect both consumers and traders, ensuring a fair and reliable commercial environment. The ultimate goal is to reinforce trust in the market and address any breaches promptly.
