Under the patronage of the Supreme Council for Women, the third edition of the “Women and Society” Conference, organized by Royal University for Women, will be held from May 11 to 13 under the theme “Advancing Leadership, Innovation, and Sustainability.”

The “Women and Society” Conference is an international, interdisciplinary forum focusing on women-related studies in the region. It serves as a catalyst for academic research and dialogue on women's leadership, contributions, and influence across various sectors.

This year’s edition will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers, including academics from local, regional, and international universities and educational institutions, as well as experts, leaders, journal editors, professionals, and specialists. They will take part in discussions and panels that shape the future of women’s studies and research in the region.

The conference will particularly highlight the outstanding leadership and impactful contributions of Bahraini women in nation-building and community development. It will also showcase their vital role in economic development and sustainability, in alignment with the 2024 Bahraini Women’s Day theme: “Women: A Worthy Partner in Nation Building.” The event will further explore the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pioneering experience in women’s empowerment under the leadership and guidance of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, and her instrumental role in supporting women’s advancement in all economic, social, and academic fields.

The conference welcomes contributions on the theme of “Advancing Leadership, Innovation, and Sustainability,” and invites researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share their insights on women’s active roles, the challenges they face, and the achievements they contribute across various sectors and industries.

The Supreme Council for Women, in collaboration with partners from both the public and private sectors, continues to foster impactful dialogue on women’s issues through conferences, seminars, and events that highlight women’s roles in society. These efforts aim to advance women’s empowerment and promote leadership, innovation, and sustainability at the national and global levels.
