Significant Increase in New Car Imports to Bahrain via Khalifa bin Salman Port

A new report has revealed a notable rise in the number of new cars imported into Bahrain via Khalifa bin Salman Port in the past two months.
The total number of vehicles imported in January and February 2025 reached 8,497, marking a 25.3% increase compared to the same period last year, which saw 6,777 cars imported.
The statistics also highlight a consistent growth in car imports over the past two years, with a total of 89,588 vehicles imported from January 2023 to February 2025.
The data shows significant growth in vehicle imports, with 2023 witnessing the arrival of 36,875 cars, which increased to 44,216 cars in 2024. The upward trend continued into 2025, with 8,497 cars imported in just the first two months.
In detail, the report shows a steady rise in imports over the last three years. In 2023, the number of cars imported ranged from 2,351 in January to a peak of 3,909 in August. The highest number recorded that year was 3,296 cars in December, suggesting a relative stability in imports.
In 2024, the port saw a significant surge, with December recording the highest number for the year at 4,818 vehicles. July 2024 also saw a substantial increase, reaching 4,776 vehicles, reflecting a rise in demand during the summer months.
The upward trend continued in early 2025, with January recording the highest number of cars imported at 5,365, indicating steady growth in import activity. However, February 2025 saw a slight decline to 3,132 vehicles.
