The Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, was inducted yesterday into the Hall of Fame of the US Command and General Staff College (CGSC) in Leavenworth, Kansas.

The prestigious recognition comes as part of a ceremony to honour distinguished graduates who have held high-level positions in their countries.

During the ceremony, the Bahraini national anthem was played as Dr. Al Zayani received a certificate of appreciation from the Commandant of CGSC, Lieutenant General Milford Beagle, marking the culmination of his induction into the college’s Hall of Fame.

Deep pride

In his speech, Dr. Al Zayani expressed his deep pride in the honour and emphasised the significance of his induction as a testament to the values and experiences that shaped his pro- fessional journey.

“This is a defining moment in my career, and I owe much of my growth to the lessons I learned here at CGSC,” he said.

Dr. Al Zayani also acknowledged the support of Bahrain’s leadership, particularly His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who was the first Bahraini officer to graduate from the college and one of its earliest inductees into the Hall of Fame.

Trust and vision

“I strive to live up to His Majesty’s trust and vision for Bahrain’s continued success,” Dr. Al Zayani remarked.

He also expressed gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his continuous support, as well as to key figures such as H.E. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), and H.E. Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
