His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which began today in the Turkish city of Antalya. The event is organized by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the theme "Rebuilding Diplomacy in a Fragmented World," with the participation of several heads of state, prime ministers, foreign ministers from various countries, as well as international political and security experts and specialists.

The forum was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who delivered a speech expressing his hope that the forum's sessions and discussions will contribute to presenting new visions and constructive solutions to regional and global issues, and serve as a platform to advocate for the oppressed and marginalized in our region and the world.

He stated that although we live in a time of astonishing technological progress, the international system unfortunately has not kept pace. Terrorism, poverty, racism, Islamophobia, and migration crises continue to worsen, while international policies fall short in addressing them with justice and fairness. He called for enhancing the humanitarian and proactive role of diplomacy and for developing future plans based on global conscience rather than the logic of power alone.

Attending the opening were Mr. Bassam Ahmed Marzooq, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Türkiye, Ambassador Saeed Abdulkhaliq, Head of the Coordination and Follow-up Sector, and the delegation accompanying the Minister.
