RAP discusses training programmes
Public Security Chief Major-General Major General Tariq Al Hassan yesterday chaired the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) meeting, which discussed educational and training programmes.
He highlighted the directives of Interior Minister, RAP Board of Trustees’ Chairman Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to focus on quality educational and training programmes to keep abreast of latest security shifts and mounting challenges.
He stressed the importance of cooperation between the academy and other relevant parties to ensure fresh police graduates deal competently with challenges whilst performing their duties.
He underlined the need to attract academic experts to meets RAP needs in lecturers.
The session reviewed different academic programmes and degrees and focused on progress of work on infrastructure projects.
