MP Dr Maryam Al Dhaen said the Bahrain Grand Prix has become a fixture in the kingdom’s modern identity and a clear sign of its ability to host global events with skill and professionalism. She said the race, held at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), is more than a sporting fixture. It plays a growing part in the economy, supports tourism, and helps shape how Bahrain is seen abroad.
Each year, the event’s reach expands. It draws in major companies, supports small and medium-sized firms, and brings young Bahrainis to the fore in organising the event. Success Dr Al Dhaen said this shows Bahrain’s success in investing in its people and building homegrown talent. She said the Grand Prix has driven up hotel bookings and tourist spending.
It has brought more footfall to shopping centres, restaurants and cafes, keeping cash moving through the economy and supporting key sectors such as hospitality, transport and retail. Dr Al Dhaen said the event reflects Bahrain’s approach to economic growth.
