Coast Guard Launches Inspection and Awareness Campaign for Fishermen
The Coast Guard, in coordination with the Interior Ministry’s directorates, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), and other relevant organisations, has carried out an extensive inspection and awareness campaign targeting the Kingdom’s fishing sector.
The campaign, which covered key coastal areas and fish markets in Malkiya, Karzakan, Budaiya, and Damistan, aimed to ensure that fishermen are complying with national fishing regulations and environmental guidelines.
During the initiative, officials identified multiple violations and took the necessary legal measures against offenders. The Coast Guard emphasized the importance of sustainable fishing practices and urged all fishermen to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations in place.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to protecting marine resources and supporting the livelihoods of law-abiding fishermen by continuing such collaborative efforts in the future.
