Legal proceedings begin in Shakhura stabbing case

A man accused of stabbing his neighbour to death near their homes in Shakhura is to stand trial before the High Criminal Court on 27 April.
He is charged with murder carried out with prior intent and planning.
The Public Prosecution said it had completed its inquiry into the killing and ordered the suspect’s referral in custody for criminal trial.
Body
Police in the Northern Governorate were first alerted after the body of a man was found by the roadside, bearing multiple stab wounds, a short distance from his house.
Prosecutors were called in, and a team was dispatched to the scene with a forensic pathologist and crime scene specialists.
They examined the body where it lay and took note of the area before gathering samples and traces from the spot.
A post-mortem was carried out to determine the nature of the injuries.
