5-year jail for 2 for arson
The High Criminal Court has sentenced two defendants for five years in prison each for setting two tents of a man who stood as a candidate in the previous parliamentary elections on fire.
The duo reportedly poured petrol on the tents and pelted them with firebombs early on October 26, 2014. They were trying to terrify him so that he would withdraw from the elections. But Abdullah Tarar announced his decision to contest, though he lost it.
