The Council of Representatives has approved a proposal by MP Mohammed Hussein Janahi to establish a community event hall in Hoora, located in the First Constituency of the Capital Governorate, with the aim of supporting low-income families.

During today’s parliamentary session, MP Janahi highlighted the pressing economic challenges faced by many families, stressing that the creation of such a facility would significantly ease the financial burden associated with hosting events. "Many families are unable to afford renting private halls, which often cost hundreds of dinars," he said.

Janahi emphasized that the proposed event hall would provide residents of the First Constituency in the Capital Governorate a dedicated space to hold weddings, funerals, and other community gatherings, thereby reducing costs and enhancing accessibility.

"This initiative is a direct form of support for families in the constituency, especially in light of the current economic situation," he stated, noting that the hall would represent a significant step toward improving the quality of life for low-income households.

The proposal received strong backing from fellow lawmakers, who praised its community-centered approach and alignment with social support objectives.
