As the pace of the digital transformation accelerates globally, artificial intelligence (AI) is at the forefront of discussions on the future of justicebe it used to analyze legal data, make recommendations, and improve the efficiency of judicial procedures and decisions.

While these technologies offer opportunities to speed up litigation and increase transparency, they also raise questions about impartiality, accountability and the scope of the human role.

Experts

The Judicial and Legal Studies Institute (JLSI), in cooperation with the Supreme Judicial Council and the French Embassy to Bahrain, organized an international symposium under the title: “Artificial Intelligence in Law and Justice: Current Trends and Future Prospects”, with the participation of a group of experts in the fields of artificial intelligence and the judiciary, along with a number of government officials and legal professionals from the Kingdom of Bahrain and beyond.

This event builds on the ambition of the international AI Action Summit held in France in February 2025 that brought together heads of states, major experts and officials and representatives of the private sector The opening session of the symposium took place on April 14 in the JLSI premises.
