FM vows to bolster ties with Australia, Columbia

Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received in his office yesterday Ralph Peter Herbert King, who presented to him copies of credentials as Riyadh-based Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the meeting, Shaikh Khalid welcomed the Australian Ambassador, hailing the distinguished relations linking the Kingdom and Australia and hoping to develop these relations at all levels. 

He also wished the Ambassador every success in his new mission and vowed to provide him all necessary support to boost bilateral relations for the benefit of the two friendly countries.

For his part, Ralph Peter expressed his happiness to represent his country in the Kingdom of Bahrain and promised to further strengthen the bilateral relations, noting the progress and development made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields.

During the meeting, they also discussed a number of topics of common interest.

Shaikh Khalid also received in his office yesterday Faihan Al Fayez Chaljub, who presented to him copies of credentials as Abu-Dhabi-based Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to the Kingdom. During the meeting, Shaikh Khalid welcomed the Colombian Ambassador, hailing the remarkable progress of the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly Republic of Colombia and wishing the Ambassador every success in his new mission to boost bilateral relations for the benefit of the two friendly countries.

For his part, Chaljub lauded the progress and development being witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields, noting that he would do his best, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to give a boost to bilateral ties to serve the common interests of the two friendly peoples.

During the meeting, they also touched on a number of topics of common concern and looked into ways of underpinning ties between the two friendly countries and peoples.
