The Bahrain Malayali Catholic community observed the Passion and Crucifixion of Jesus Christ with solemn Good Friday services held from 8am yesterday at the Sacred Heart School in Isa Town.

The observances began with the Way of the Cross and a penitential procession around the school grounds. This was followed by services led by Fr. Francis Joseph OFM Cap., Vicar of Sacred Heart Church in Manama. He was joined by Fr. Saji Thomas OFM Cap., Rector of Our Lady of Arabia Cathedral, along with Fr. John Britto, Fr. Lijo Abraham, and Fr. Sebastian Isaac.

The service included readings on the Passion of Christ, veneration of the Cross, Holy Communion, and adoration of the Crucified Christ. After the service, a solemn procession displaying the Body of Christ was held in the school grounds, with clergy and a congregation of over 7,000 faithful participating.
