BIPD Launches 'National Pathways' Program to Empower Bahrain’s Workforce
The Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) is set to launch the inaugural edition of its new program, “National Pathways”, on Sunday. The initiative targets employees across various levels in both the public and private sectors, as part of the institute’s efforts to qualify national talent and enhance political awareness. This aligns with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to uphold the principles of the comprehensive national development project.
On this occasion, Ms. Eman Faisal Janahi, Executive Director of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development, stated that “National Pathways” is a practical embodiment of the institute’s mission to support sustainable political development and promote a culture of conscious and responsible participation.
The program is designed to empower participants with core political, legal, and constitutional concepts, while also deepening their understanding of their national role—whether in their professional capacity or as active members of society. It has been structured to offer rich and flexible content suitable for diverse specialties and sectors.
The program is divided into three main tracks, specifically designed for general employees, department heads, and leadership-level professionals. Each track will feature tailored activities to meet the specific practical needs of participants, in line with the program’s overarching goal of building outstanding national competencies capable of driving positive change.
Ms. Janahi highlighted that the institute continues to develop its training programs in accordance with professional standards and current national priorities. This development supports Bahrain’s strategic development goals and enhances the capabilities of its human capital.
National Pathways also aims to instill the Royal Vision for comprehensive development and reflect it within institutional and national work. The program will boost the participants’ skills, improve their professional efficiency across sectors, and provide key insights into government programs, policies, and legislation. This will be delivered through a series of workshops, training sessions, and dialogue forums led by academic experts, specialists, and senior officials from Bahrain.
Additionally, the program seeks to cultivate skills that promote positive engagement with national challenges, while advancing the performance and awareness of national personnel—shaping high-caliber individuals with strong cultural and knowledge-based foundations.
National Pathways is considered a continuation of the previously launched “Political Skills” program, which aimed to develop comprehensive employee skills and link them to institutional work and legal frameworks to boost performance.
