The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) has announced that the deadline for submitting nominations for the 2025 edition of the King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Education has been extended to Monday, April 28.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the award, which is being held under the title “Unesco Prize for the Use of ICT in Education.”
The award aims to recognise outstanding projects from individuals, institutions, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) around the world.
To qualify, projects must have been implemented for at least one year and should utilise modern technology to enhance educational services and ensure they reach all learners effectively.
The award supports the fourth goal of the UN Sustainable Development Goals; ensuring inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all, and promoting lifelong learning opportunities.
Nominations can be submitted through the national commissions of Unesco member states or by NGOs in official partnership with Unesco.
Two winners will be selected based on the recommendations of an independent international jury
