The General Directorate of Traffic seized 161 delivery motorcycles in April over various violations.
The violations varied of wrong parking, not wearing helmets, overtaking via the emergency lane, crossing through the pedestrian lanes, driving on the opposite direction and overtaking vehicles at traffic signals.
The confiscation was to emphasise the significance of following traffic rules to protect general safety.
Legal steps
The General Directorate pointed out that legal steps would be taken against violations for the high risks of such practices on road users and the motorcyclists.
It affirmed that Bahrain is among pioneering traffic rules-adhering countries and its traffic culture is a source of pride.
