HM King briefed on BDF modernisation plans

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force and was briefed on future plans to develop all BDF weapons and units.
During the visit, HM the King expressed appreciation and pride in the brave BDF personnel for their dedication and unwavering commitment to fulfilling their noble national duties with courage and determination.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was received by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF.
HM King Hamad was accompanied by Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, and Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard Special Force.
Also present to receive His Majesty were Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the BDF.
Winners
HM the King also congratulated the winners of the final day of the His Majesty the King’s Shooting Championship for the Armed Forces, commending the organisers’ efforts and praising the BDF’s continuous sporting achievements regionally and internationally.
The Armed Forces Supreme Commander wished all personnel continued success.
His Majesty instructed senior officers to convey his greetings to all BDF personnel.
