Indian expat dies while playing badminton

A 51-year-old Indian expatriate from Thiruvananthapuram, identified as Girish D A, tragically passed away in Bahrain last night while playing badminton at the Juffair Club.

According to sources, Mr. Girish, while playing suddenly experienced discomfort and collapsed on the court. Emergency medical responders were immediately dispatched to the location but were unable to revive him, confirming his death at the scene.

Girish was working at a prominent bank in Bahrain. His wife is Sheeja, and his children are Greeshma (medical student) and Gowri (student, Bahrain). The body has been moved to Salmaniya Hospital, and procedures are underway to repatriate it to India.
