Minister of Tourism Participates in Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai

Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaffar Al-Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, participated in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, which is being held from April 28 to May 1, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, under the theme of "Global Travel: Transforming the Tourism of the Future through Enhanced Connectivity."

Al-Sairafi explained that the exhibition is one of the largest and most important exhibitions specializing in the travel and tourism sector regionally and globally. This year, it highlights the future aspects of travel and tourism, with a focus on the role of communication in shaping the next phase. She noted the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to taking part in such major international events, which contributes to promoting tourism and strengthening communication with stakeholders in the travel and tourism sector from all around the world. It also highlights Bahrain's distinguished tourism infrastructure, in addition to, the qualitative developments achieved in the tourism sector, and creates more opportunities for cooperation with various markets and international partners, in line with the objectives of the 2022-2026 Tourism Strategy.

This year, the Kingdom of Bahrain is participating with a pavilion comprising of 28 entities from the public and private sectors, most notably the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), the national carrier Gulf Air, and the Exhibition World Bahrain Centre (EWB), along with a number of luxury hotels and resorts and tourism DMCs. Bahrain's participation covers a 425 sqm pavilion, showcasing the Kingdom's most prominent tourism assets, while informing visitors and participants of the latest tourism projects and initiatives. Bilateral meetings will also be held with worldwide representatives from the tourism sector to explore opportunities for joint cooperation and exchange best practices in sustainable tourism.

As part of the ATM participation, the Minister met with His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, and His Excellency Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman. They discussed prospects for cooperation with both countries in the tourism sector, emphasizing the importance of strengthening partnerships to serve common interests and tourism development plans in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
