Bahrain and Egypt Strengthen Tourism Ties at ATM 2025 Workshop in Dubai

The Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation participated in a workshop organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities for travel agents and tourism companies from both countries, on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market ATM 2025, which will be held from April 28 to May 1, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates.

At the beginning of the workshop, Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, stressed that establishing this workshop by the Arab Republic of Egypt in cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain reflects the mutual keenness to combine marketing efforts into promoting tourism, pointing to the importance of adopting innovative marketing programs, launching direct partnerships with travel agents and institutions concerned with the tourism sector, as well as, working to provide joint tourism packages that combine more than one destination, which enriches the visitors' experience, and in line with their aspirations.

On his part, His Excellency Mr. Sherif Fat’hy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of the Arab Republic of Egypt, expressed his pride in the depth of the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt, stressing that joint tourism cooperation will contribute to strengthening promotion opportunities, adding to the importance of exchanging experiences between the two sides and working to implement joint promotional campaigns targeting the Chinese market.

This workshop observed a review of the best practices followed in promoting tourism to the Chinese market, focusing on the importance of studying the interests and requirements of Chinese tourists, while discussing ways to boost the cooperation between tourism agents in the Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt, in order to contribute to the development of integrated and joint tourism programs. A package of joint initiatives was proposed, most notably the launch of specialized tourism packages that allow Chinese tourists to discover tourist destinations in Bahrain and Egypt in one trip, while providing unique and diverse tourism experiences that meet the latest global trends in the tourism sector.
