Aali blocks sewerage network works apace
Asma Murad, Director of Planning and Sanitation Projects at the Ministry of Works and Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning Administration, declared yesterday that the completion rate in the project of constructing a sewerage network in Aali blocks of 746 and 748 had reached 88 per cent. She also informed the completion of the main and secondary lines, and the two pumping stations, with only 160 out of 320 lines remaining. It is hoped the project is completed within the first quarter of next year.
The Director of Planning and Sanitation Projects said the project falls within the framework of the comprehensive plan carried out by the Ministry for the development of sanitation services in the capital of the province in an effort to meet the needs of citizens and to provide a healthy environment and better sanitation services to them.
It is worth mentioning that the project includes the construction of 8.1km of main lines and 2km of secondary lines, in addition to 546 inspection rooms and the connection of 320 homes to the network, with a total cost of BD1,505,341 awarded by the Tender Board to Jalal AlAali Contracting company.
