VIVA in strategic ties with ‘Shop Bahrain’

Telecom provider VIVA Bahrain has announced its strategic partnership with “Shop Bahrain,” the festival to be held from December 24 to January 23, 2016. The partnership will pave the way for VIVA customers to enjoy a number of special and exclusive benefits throughout the festival.

For every BD10 spent in participating retail stores and shopping malls, shoppers will receive four points against each Bahrain Dinar.

Commenting on the partnership, VIVA Bahrain CEO, Ulaiyan Al Wetaid, said: “The strategic partnership with ‘Shop Bahrain’ is in line with our overall vision to support programmes that encourage the economic growth and national economy while offering added-value to VIVA customers.”

“We will also be hosting one of the main attractions which is ‘VIVA Shop and Skate’, offering a unique experience for shoppers along with fun-filled family activities in an open air venue located outside Al Aali Shopping Complex,” he added.

“Shop Bahrain” Project Director, Nawaf Al Koheji remarked, “We are pleased to partner with one of the largest telecommunications companies in the Kingdom. We hope that this partnership is renewed in the future editions of the festival. We also hope that events hosted this year will gain admiration from all shoppers and participants locally and regionally.”

“Shop Bahrain,” in its second edition, aims to mirror the Kingdom’s position as an accessible and welcoming destination for families and visitors from across the region by providing a distinctive shopping experience filled with special offers and entertainment. It’s a celebration of the Kingdom’s heritage, hospitality and tourism offering for the entire family.

“Shop Bahrain” is an initiative developed by Tamkeen to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors in order to stimulate the retail and tourism industry in the Kingdom.

The festival, featuring a number of events and activities, aims to attract shoppers from the Kingdom and neighbouring countries - offering them a unique shopping experience focusing on family festivities.

The inaugural edition of the festival launched last year under the name of “Bahrain Noor El Ain” to energise the retail and tourism sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
