Edu Ministry organises Holy Quran recitation contest

Under the patronage of Education Minister Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi, the Student Services Directorate in the Ministry organised the Holy Quran and Prophet’s Sunnah Award contest for memorisation of Chapters 25, 27 and 27 of the Holy Quran for administrative and educational Staff.

More than 70 contestants from schools all over the Kingdom participated in the annual event in the Cultural and Artistic Activities Centre. 

The contest aims to impart the love of the Holy Quran and its sanctity and glorification and derives its importance from the deep effect of the Holy Quran in all of life’s aspects.

It also aims to train contestants on proper recitation methods according to the rules, to deduce the terms and provisions and utilize them in public life and to promote the spirit of competitiveness as a team among the contestants and to discover, encourage and follow up good recitation voices. 

The Organising Committee comprises the Student Services Directorate, the Curricula Directorate, the Educational Supervision Directorate, in cooperation with the Arbitration Panel in the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments’ Directorate of Quranic Affairs.
