Seef Cineplex completes $5.5m renovation

Bahrain Cinema Company, market leaders in the entertainment industry in Bahrain, also known as Cineco, has unveiled the newly enhanced and modernised Seef Cineplex, with a total renovation cost of $ 5.5million.

The Seef Cineplex is not enfolded in a completely new look with  latest amenities and each minute facet revamped to create an improved and fully equipped Cinema.

The enhanced Seef Cineplex now features upgraded seating provisions, offering additional legroom for the convenience of moviegoers, new screens and digital projectors of superior kind for best audio and video quality. 

Other renovations include innovative wall décor, new carpeting and flooring, enhanced ceiling and lighting, a new lobby to facilitate the flow of traffic and also renovated restrooms.

C.E.O of Bahrain Cinema Company Ahmed Rashed said, “On behalf of Bahrain Cinema Company, I am thrilled to announce the completion of the highly anticipated renovation works at Seef Cineplex, which took over a year to reach the stage we envisioned it to reach. After renovation, Seef Cineplex looks extremely modern and up to date, for this is now a better place for moviegoers to meet and enjoy because of its improved conditions and better facilities.”

The Seef Cineplex underwent major renovations without ever being completely closed to avoid any inconvenience. The remodelling took place with 2 or 3 screens being closed at a time and the rest of the theatres open for moviegoers. Seef Cineplex will display an array of highly anticipated films in various languages including Arabic, English, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil.

Keeping in mind the increased importance given to cinema in the country, Cineco took it as priority to create a place where cinema finds its most perfect manifestation and revamped Seef Cineplex to create a state-of-the-art gallery where the art of cinema can be seen, interpreted and enjoyed.

Cineco Operations include the management of a large number of cinemas and restaurants within Bahrain and the G.C.C countries.

At present, Cineco operates a total of 75 screens in Bahrain and Qatar, and an additional 23 screens are due to be opened before the year end, bringing the total number to 98 screens.
