Most people in the Kingdom know iKickbyMWM as a football event management firm “with a creative unique twist,” and we can all thank the people behind it.
DT News spoke to Muneera Al Doseri, one of the masterminds of this initiative. She talked about how iKickbyMWM started and came to life. “It started with a weekly plan of friendly games between friends only, then we decided to develop it into a big tournament that brings in girls team in the Kingdom of Bahrain and other GCC countries.”

The first women’s only football tournament took place for the first time thanks to iKickbyMWM on December 1, 2015, with a huge success received by 11 sponsors and 14 teams of women from the Kingdom of Bahrain and other GCC countries.

“I thank god that we are in a country that it helps you empower women and face no challenges regarding women in sports, we have football, basketball, running competitions and tournaments, women are out there and our Kingdom supports such events and a healthy life style,” revealed an elated Muneera.
DT News asked Muneera about her the spark of her inspiration, she expressed that, “final outcomes of a great work always inspires me in creating something unique and different, the feeling you get after accomplishing a major event is speechless.”
Muneera confirmed that iKickbyMWM has more plans to come. “After our first event tournament this month, we are now working on a New Year’s Women’s only party. We are looking forward to creating more tournaments in the Kin-gdom and internationally as well,” she said.
Muneera Al Doseri graduated from Al Iman Girls School and AMA International University in Bahrain with a Bachelors in International Studies.
With a hobby of photography, she soon developed it into a freelancing job. Muneera also participated in a photography competition called ‘Pictures in Love of Bahrain’ organised by Al Bir and won first place.
