Over 80 suction tankers set to drain rainwater
Over 80 water suction tankers have been provided by the authorities to drain rainwater flooding in Bahrain. This was stated by Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry yesterday, confirming the tankers were provided to cover all Governorates since the early hours of the downpours on Thursday.
The Ministry said it’s working to ensure all the main roads and tunnels in the Kingdom are accessible, giving top priority to the roads near hospitals, schools, mosques and government offices.
The Ministry explained that it’s following an emergency strategy to ensure rainwater flooding doesn’t affect the lives of citizens and residents.
The Ministry called upon citizens and residents to report any rainwater flooding emergencies to the hotlines of Muharraq Municipality on 17671310, Capital Secretariat on 80001855, Southern Area Municipality on 33355388, Northern Area Municipality on 33311530 and 33838425 and Works Affairs at the ministry on 80001810.
