Kindergartens toe the line after inspections by Ministry
As many as 39 violating kindergartens have rectified their situations during the year 2015, the Labour and Social Development Ministry revealed yesterday.
The Ministry said that the kindergartens are now operating normally after they removed their violations in accordance with the law.
Explaining it in a press statement, Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan said that the violating kindergartens were detected as the result of 291 inspection visits that had been conducted by the Ministry during the past eight months.
The Minister added that the visits were organised by the Family and Child Development Directorate at the Ministry. He also informed that 13 new kindergartens had been permitted this year.
The Ministry stated that it would intensify its inspection visits to kindergartens within a preset strategy that it’s implementing starting September 2015 and will continue in 2016, adding that the Ministry takes all the complaints it receives in regards to violations at kindergartens very seriously.
The Labour and Social Development Ministry also added that it had issued a guidebook that includes the followed standards and norms at kindergartens to raise more awareness and education about the system of kindergartens in Bahrain.
