HM King commends RBNF achievements
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa commended the courage and honourable achievements of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force (RBNF) personnel in performing their military duties to protect global peace and security and fight piracy in cooperation with friendly countries.
HM the King, the BDF Supreme Commander, also praised the BDF personnel’s bravery, determination and strong will to perform their national duties and exercise their humanitarian role in securing international navigation in the Gulf of Aden, combating smuggling and contributing to delivering humanitarian and medical aid to the people of Yemen in cooperation with the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO).
While receiving the Captain and a number of officers of the RBNF frigate “Sabha” at Sakhir Palace yesterday, HM the King lauded their patriotic efforts and success in defending the right and legitimacy in Yemen, protecting sovereignty of the GCC countries as well as regional and Arab security.
The reception was held marking the safe and triumphant return of the BDF troops on-board after performing their duties in the Operation Decisive Storm and the Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen as part of the Saudi-led Arab coalition. HM the King wished all BDF personnel more success, stressing that they are the pride of the nation as they embody strong patriotism. BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa was also present.
