Comprehensive media plan to cover BIAS 2016
Information and Parliament Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi has unveiled a comprehensive media plan to cover the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2016) and promote it in local, regional and international media outlets.
This will be done in coordination with BIAS High Organising Committee, under the chairmanship of HM the King’s Personal Representative HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Chairing a coordination meeting attended by officials from the Ministry of Information and Parliament Affairs, the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF), the minister reviewed the preparations for the fourth edition of BIAS, to be held under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s patronage at the Al Sakhir Air Base from January 21 to 23.
He said the Ministry plans to set up at Media Centre and ease the entry of foreign media persons to Bahrain, to facilitate media services during the world event.
This will reflect the Kingdom’s outstanding ability to host mega regional and international events, he said.
Al Hammadi welcomed media personnel and guests from all over the world to attend and watch air displays and events to be held on the sidelines of BIAS 2016, in which world companies and military government agencies, will take part.
He noted that a total of 120 world companies and agencies participated in the previous edition (BIAS 2014) and reached deals estimated at nearly US$3 billion.
The minister thanked Shaikh Abdulla for overseeing and supporting BIAS, co-organised every two years by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and RBAF, in collaboration with Farnborough International Ltd.
He praised the efforts of the national institutions and companies in supporting the event.
