MP slams Iran statements

The recent Iranian statements against the sentences on terrorists in Saudi Arabia were highly denounced by a Human Rights Parliamentary Committee member yesterday.

MP Mmohammed Al Maarifi expressed the support of the council and the people of Bahrain to the Saudi efforts to combat terrorism and secure the nation and the region.

“We support the Saudi verdicts that are in compliance with the Islamic Sharia and are deterrent to all violence and terrorism that is growing in the region and the world. Islam is against such practices and promotes moderation and instructs Muslims to protect their homelands and spread coexistence in them, which the sentenced people were against,” Al Maarifi commented.

He added, “The Saudi authorities, headed by The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, have followed the most tolerant measures while dealing with terrorists and gave them multiple opportunities to put down the extremist ideologies that they follow and allow them to be involved in rehabilitation programmes.”

“It would have enabled them to be integrated with the society once again. But, their insistence on following the terror ideologies they’re adopting left the authorities no choice but to apply the law against them,” he pointed out.

The MP condemned the continuous interference of Iranian officials in regional countries’ internal affairs. He also said it proved that the executed terrorists were following the Iranian agenda that seeks stirring violence and chaos in regional countries.
