BKS to host international book fair from January 7-16
DC Books, along with Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam(BKS), will organise an International Book Fair and Cultural Fest in Bahrain, from January 7-16, at the BKS Diamond Jubilee Hall, Segaya.
This was announced by BKS Acting President K. Abdul Rahman and General Secretary V.K. Pavithran in a press conference held at the Samajam yesterday.
Inauguration of the Book Fair and Cultural Fest will be held on January 7 at 8 pm by M. Mukundan, one of the pioneers of modernity in Malayalam literature.
A wide range of literary works from major English and Malayalam publishers including Penguin, Harper Collins, Hachette, Scholastic, Oxford University Press, D C Books, Olive, Current Books, Sankeerthanam, Mathrubhumi and Malayala Manorama will be exhibited.
It will have titles from a variety of categories such as fiction, non- fiction, novels, short stories, poetries, self help, management and cookery.
A special section has been arranged for children, which would contain classics, folklores, adventures, and comics.
Apart from Mukundan, the book fair will host renowned personalities including Madhupal and Srijan Pal Singh.
