Suspended jail term given in assault case
Two brothers implicated in a brawl with their neighbour have been handed down a suspended one-year in prison each. The victim said that he was attacked by the duo on his way back to home.
A medical report showed that the victim suffered a broken nose following the incident. But the duo claimed that he had molested the wife of the first defendant.
“When I was returning home, I found them waiting for me. They suddenly attacked me. They tied me with a rope and began beating me up,” the victim told prosecutors.
However, the first defendant told prosecutors that he had spoken to him several times to stop molesting his wife. The quarrel occurred on April 30 last year and the defendants had been charged with physical assault.
