Bahrain mourns over death of ace bizwoman
A prominent icon in Bahrain’s business world passed away on Wednesday, leaving scores of people mourning.
Jawad Business Group board member Fatima Hassan Mohammed Jawad, 56, died of heart attack and was buried the next day in Manama Cemetery. A large number of people attended her funeral.
The deceased is the sister of business guru Faisal Jawad, wife of Mahmoud Abdulnabi Kazerooni and mother of Hussain Kazerooni.
In the funeral, mourners recalled the good traits and generosity of the deceased, expressing shock in the sudden death.
She was one of the founders of Bahrain Businesswomen Society between 2000 and 2002. She was also listed among the Forbes Middle East 200 Most Powerful Arab Women in 2014.
Fatima is remembered to be one of the most influential women in the country and the region and had taken part in countless numbers of local, regional and international events and lectures.
Condolences could be offered at Al Haj Abbas Maatam in Manama (for men) and at Hassan Mohammed Jawad residence in Adliya Road 2703, Block 327, Villa 150.
