Man tries to mend marriage, ends in jail
A Bahraini man in his 20s wanted to mend his relationship with his divorcee, only to find himself implicated in an attempted murder case, court documents have revealed.
The defendant is said to have telephoned his divorcee, reproaching her for writing comments against his mother on her car and her house’s wall. But, he deliberately crashed his car while she was with him after he pleaded to discuss the matter face-to-face. “He called me and requested to talk with me about some comments I wrote on my car and the wall of our house,” the victim said. “While the car was in motion, a heated argument broke out between us, and he threatened me that he would show me death by my eyes,” she added.
