2 Bahrainis among top 10 Arab Inspirational Women
Two Bahraini businesswomen have been listed among the top 10 inspirational Middle Eastern women, according to a leading regional online news agency.
Batelco CEO Muna Al Hashemi and YK Al Moayyed and Sons Managing Director Mona Al Moayyed were featured by Dubai-based Step Feed for their inspiring words.
Quoting Al Moayyed, the site chose the following words of her as the eighth best inspiring quote of women in the Middle East: “When you are a woman, nothing comes easy in business. My advice to women is not to give up and to continue working hard until their boss recognises them.”
“She was the first woman to be elected to the board of a publicly traded company in Bahrain, Bahrain Maritime and Mercantile International,” the site added.
As for Al Hashemi, she came 10th for her words, saying, “It is performance that will decide destiny, not anything else.”
This is not the first time that Bahraini women made it to lists of top regional and international women for their leading and powerful positions.
Fifteen Bahrainis had made to the 2014 Forbes Middle East 200 most powerful women list.
