Minister praises Princess Sabeeka Social Centre

Minister of Labour and Social Development Jameel Humaidan has visited Princess Sabeeka Social Centre in West Riffa.

During the visit, Humaidan said that the centre is considered as one of the main social monuments in the Kingdom of Bahrain, adding that it reflects the care and concern of the Wise Leadership of developing the society.

The 18,000 square metre centre is established to improve social services provided to Bahraini families, people with disabilities and the elderly.
The minister said the centre also provides several services that match international standards and include social programmes and activities for all age groups.
Humaidan was briefed by officials about the different departments and wards at the centre and mechanisms that would be followed once it starts operation.
“The centre is financed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the contributions of Aluminium Bahrain (Alba). It carries the name of the Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women Chairwoman HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa as an appreciation to her fundamental roles in all social fields,” the Minister stated.
