PM stresses support to economy to bolster trade
Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has underlined the government’s keenness on providing all that is required to enhance the trade and industrial march in the Kingdom, and support the private sector and businessmen.
The Premier praised the role played by the chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) in business issues, calling for concerted efforts to achieve and develop the goals set by the BCCI, especially amid the current economic challenges.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to maintain BCCI’s role as a deep-rooted entity that has witnessed the progress of the business march in the Kingdom, noting that “Beit Al Tijjar” has always been a platform to spur business in Bahrain.
The Premier emphasised that unifying efforts in “Beit Al-Tijjar” will reflect positively on the trade sector in the kingdom.
HRH Prince Khalifa expressed optimism that the currently implemented mega projects in the trade, economic and investment sectors would yield positive results and push economic growth forward.
The Premier made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday Royal Family members, senior state officials, as well as businessmen and merchants, led by BCCI Chairman Khalid bin Abulrahman Al Moayyad.
The Prime Minister lauded the efforts of the private sector and businessmen in supporting the development efforts in all fields.
“The investment atmosphere in the Kingdom is known for its diversity and ability to adapt to global developments and create new opportunities,” he said, calling for continuing efforts to develop the Kingdom’s investment atmosphere in order to increase its ability to attract more investments that support the national economy and generate more job opportunities for national job-seekers.
The Premier affirmed the government’s keenness on providing more facilities that enhance the competitiveness of the investment atmosphere in the Kingdom, and maintain its leading status regarding its ability to attract investments and capitals to the region, calling for intensifying efforts to promote promising investment opportunities with positive returns in all sector, as the best means to support the government’s policies to diversify sources of income.
HRH Prince Khalifa highlighted the role of business families in spurring the national economy, stressing that their contributions to the Kingdom’s progress reflected Bahrainis’ solidarity and keenness on advancing their nation.
