India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj arrived in Bahrain
India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj arrived in Bahrain this afternoon to attend the first ministerial meeting of the India-Arab League Cooperation.
She was received by Bahrain Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
After arriving, she visited the Bahrain International Air Show 2016 at the Sakhir Airbase at 4pm.
She will then visit Little India at 6 pm followed by meetings with HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
She will attend the India –Arab league ministerial meeting at The Ritz Carlton Bahrain tomorrow from 10am.
She is expected to leave Bahrain in the afternoon with the closing of the event.

She received a briefing on the Tejas LCA being showcased at the Bahrain Air Show. The scientists behind the aircraft technology briefed her about the scientific advancements in the field of defence technology. Defence Research and Development Organisation ( DRDO) Director General Dr S Christopher and other senior officials including C D Balaji are present.
Sushma Swaraj is accompanied by Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Secretary (EAST) Anil Wadhwa.
