“BIAS 2016 is truly successful and full of achievements"

“The fourth edition of Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS2016) was so successful that the company started planning ahead for the 2018 edition”, said by DHL Express Country General Manager Abdulaziz Busbate.

“BIAS 2016 is truly successful and full of achievements and we are truly proud to be associated closely with it since we are the Official Logistics Partner for the Bahrain International Airshow 2016,” Abdulaziz said. “There was a lot of careful planning and the execution of the plans has been highly successful, enabling the Air show to come out as a triumph for Bahrain, the organisers and the participants,” he told on Saturday.

DHL teams have spent more than three months working on the show to ensure that everything went according to plan.

“We had to deploy our know-how to the full capacity and build on our commitment to the high-profile show to ensure everything went smoothly. We had to deal with several countries all over the world and we were able to honour our pledge,” he said.

Abdulaziz, who has been country general manager for its Bahrain operations since July 2014, said that he was highly pleased with the high response and positive interaction with all Bahraini authorities and agencies.

“They were of course strict in the application of law and that is something we do applaud, but they were also particularly friendly and impressively helpful. They made everything proceed smoothly and invariably extended a helping hand that has encouraged and facilitated professional interaction,” said Abdulaziz who has been working with DHL for the past 15 years and possesses a wealth of experience.

DHL on Thursday announced the addition of two Boeing 767 Aircraft to its Middle East and North Africa fleet, headquartered in Bahrain, marking a further step in the company’s continuous efforts to enhance its regional aviation network and expand its footprint with greater capabilities.

The Boeing 767s will be deployed to a number of destinations across DHL’s regional network, increasing flight frequencies to key markets such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Afghanistan and Pakistan, with potential to utilise them on additional routes depending on demand.
