Asian arrested in Bahrain for drug smuggling
An Asian man has been arrested for attempting to smuggle nearly 5 kg of drugs into Bahrain.
Bahrain International Airports Customs Director announced today day that the customs officers have foiled the trafficking of 4789.44 grams substance suspected to be marijuana hidden inside wooden baskets.
He said that the shipment arrived at the air cargo and it was searched in the presence of the Asian owner and the substance was found inside the baskets.
The suspect and the substance were handed over to the Directorate of Anti-Narcotics for legal proceedings and referred the case to the Public Prosecution.
