Al-Ramli Housing Project on track
Tenders to build 1,200 housing units within the Al-Ramli Housing Project will be launched in February, Housing Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary Sami Bu-Hazza revealed.
He said that work was underway to prepare the project site in order to start the construction process once the budget procedures were finalised, adding that the tenders will be launched as soon as they are approved by the Tender Board.
The Housing Ministry completed preparing general and detailed designs, as well as the documents of the tenders, and hopes the units will be handed over to the beneficiaries in 2018, he said.
Based in the Northern Governorate, the 3,520-unit city-like housing project will feature key facilities, facilities, green spaces and open areas, including mosques and schools, he explained.
BU Hazza also indicated that work was underway in all strategic projects currently implemented by the Housing Ministry, including the Northern City, the East Hidd, the East Sitra and Southern Governorate’s Housing Project, thanks to the government’s support and the provision of the necessary funds from the state budget and the GCC Development Fund.
