The fourth edition of the farmers’ market will continue till the end of April, said Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He issued a statement denying local media news, which alleged that the souq has come to an end, stressing the need to ensure accuracy and obtain information from their sources.

Khalifa underlined the importance of the market, which provides a location for farmers to promote their agricultural products directly to visitors.

He added that the farmers’ market would continue to open every Saturday, from 8am till noon until the end of April. Thirty-four Bahraini farmers are taking part, showcasing their varied fresh products.
