Pakistan community welcomes new Ambassador
Pakistan’s new Ambassador Javed Malik arrived Bahrain on Friday. He was given warm welcome by a large number of Pakistan community members, who had gathered at the Bahrain International Airport to receive the new Ambassador.
The Head of Chancery Pakistan Embassy Muhammad Ahad and Community Welfare Counsellor Maqsood Qadir Shah were also present at the airport.
Speaking at the airport, Malik said that they were all united as the Pakistani nationals and he was fully determined to keep the Pakistan community in one page irrespective of their political affiliations. “We are one and together to resolve all our problems here.”
The Ambassador assured that he was fully committed to the service of Pakistan community and he would be working hard for the welfare of community.
Commenting on the deep relations between Pakistan and Bahrain, he exuded confidence that during his tenure as Ambassador, the bilateral relations between the two countries would be further strengthened.
Speaking to DT News, Maqsood Qadir Shah said that Bahrain was second home to the Pakistanis living and working in Bahrain. He said that the Ambassador would find the embassy staff fully integrated and working as a team.
Javed Malik has succeeded Muhammad Saeed Khan, who left Bahrain after his retirement a few days ago.
Malik is a former journalist and Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for Trade and Investment in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
He has been appointed as Ambassador to Bahrain to enhance bilateral trade and investment between the two countries as he has deep insight into the economic and financial affairs.
Pakistan community leaders had earlier issued a welcoming statement that the new Ambassador’s commitment, experience and exposure to the GCC region were something very encouraging and promising from the community’s point of view and they as community would work shoulder-to-shoulder with him in bolstering the ties between the two sides.
