Online slur: Man fined
A 35-year-old Bahraini Twitter user has been fined BD50 in a defamation case. The lawsuit was lodged by a lawyer, who accused him of posting insulting remarks against him. The defendant was implicated in five similar cases before, and was fined BD200 after being found guilty.
He was found guilty of insulting and slandering people, attacking their honour and reputation and offending Bahraini families using indecent expressions through social media accounts on Twitter and Instagram.
