Last weekend kicked off with a fun and melodious night at the Brazil Lounge with the Musical Exchange.

Bringing in local talents from a diverse set of genres, the organisers wanted to bring together music enthusiasts and local talent supporters and drive local musicians to share their motivational and passionate vibes.

 “This musical scene has recognized many recurrent faces and it’s nice to see them as we are all connected through our passion for music. This scene also needs to grow and be appreciated as we have many potential local talents out there,” an organizer said.

The Musical Exchange presented the lounge with an acoustic artist Abraham Mathew, a blues and rock n roll band The Relocators, a rock band M.U.S.T and an alternative rock band called Ferrang.

The lounge was also entertained with experimental music ranging from progressive to trance played by Hameed Ansari. The gigs were also complemented by a mesmerizing colorful display of bright visualizations.

Speaking to one of the band members in M.U.S.T, Ali Al Asfoor, on the subject of being active in gigs, said, “As a band, it is important that we are active in the scene as performing keeps our spirits together. There is a lot of local talent undiscovered and this is a way of connecting with people through music.”

M.U.S.T is currently working on an album that has more than half of its tracks in progress.

Abraham Mathew, born and brought up in Bahrain has been in the music scene for the past 8 years.

He said, "There isn't much of a culture for live music in Bahrain, but events like these are always a good opportunity to gain followers and make that scene grow. Consistencies and hype of the music scene would definitely help artists like myself to make our passion into a career."
