HM the King issues decree
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday issued Royal Decree, returning the draft Public Debt Law to the Representatives and Shura councils to re-examine it.
The decree explained that the issuance of the draft Public Debt Law in its present status will impede the government’s ability to meet the requirements of the budget for the two fiscal years, 2015 and 2016, as well as its ability to cover all expenses, especially for social initiatives directly related to the needs of citizens. The decree also stipulates that the draft Public Debt Law shall be re-examined during the third session of the Fourth Legislative Term.
