‘Gulf Union will fortify GCC’

Reaffirming BDF’s constant effort in defending the right cause of justice and peace, BDF Commander in Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa yesterday highlighted the key role played by BDF in international peacekeeping and counter-terrorism operations.

The Field Marshall emphasised that the Gulf Union will protect the Member States and fortify them in view of some shocking Western stances seeking to reshape the Middle East map.

He further added that current alliances also made it imperative to avail of the opportunities and create Gulf alliances with Asian powers, diversification of the Gulf’s historic alliances with the western hemisphere and pluralisation of east-west alliances.

Speaking to Al Ayam daily, the Commander-in-Chief divulged the hostile seditionist intentions of the Iranian regime that exudes provocative political discourse vis-a-vis the neighbouring countries.

He hailed His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa The Supreme Commander over the designation of 17th December each year as Commemoration Day in recognition of the BDF men’s sacrifices throughout the past forty years since its establishment.
