BCCI reveals third edition of Startup Bootcamp
The Enterprise Initiative Centre of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) yesterday announced launching the third edition of its (Startup Bootcamp) programme for the year 2016. The event, focuses on the food and agriculture sector, would commence in April.
The move follows the success of the earlier editions of the Startup Bootcamp programmes and in a bid to empower the youth and encourage a culture of entrepreneurship.
The programme, according to BCCI, would take the participants on a comprehensive training journey through all stages of starting a business from crystallising their business ideas to venturing the market with actual businesses.
Commenting on the project, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber Nabeel Al Mahmood said the programme, since its inception two years ago, has opened prospects for the establishment of innovative businesses, based on excellence in terms of concept and content.
He further pointed out that the previous versions of the programme graduated a number of entrepreneurs in the telecommunications and information technology sector, and that this programme will embrace new projects in the food and agriculture sector.
