Deputy King lauds pvt sector growth
Deputy King HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the continued growth of Bahrain’s private sector and stressed the importance of its continued development. Prince Salman stressed that Bahrain will continue to support private sector development by providing beneficial regulatory policies and an open business environment.
During a meeting with the United Nations Investments Committee, along with the former Secretary General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Investcorp, Dr Nemir Kirdar, at Gudaibiya Palace here yesterday the Deputy King highlighted the crucial role of private sector growth in the Kingdom’s on-going diversification efforts in light of current economic conditions due to the drop in oil prices.
Prince Salman went on to emphasise that the stability of all nations is inextricably linked to economic development. “That stability is underpinned by an economic environment that provides opportunities for citizens to achieve their aspirations.”
The Deputy King then highlighted the longstanding relationship the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Nations have enjoyed, and their shared commitments to maintaining security and stability and achieving sustainable development.
Prince Salman also discussed the characteristics of theofascist ideology that the region currently faces, and highlighted the importance of confronting this challenge through a carefully planned and coordinated approach to preserve human dignity.
